Hi, I'm Rosie - an Artist, maker and experienced workshop facilitator based in the North of England, with a passion for ceramics.

 

 

I enjoy working with stoneware clay; hand building vessels and sculptural forms which have a simple but elegant shape, and finishing with beautiful colour through the use of glazes, glass and slip decoration. 

 

Inspiration for my ceramics often comes through the beauty of nature, especially for my sculptural and figurative work, you will see this inspiration in particular in my Landscape Collection and animal forms.

I have found myself to seek out beautiful surroundings in life and for my work; I enjoyed living in Sheffield from 2010-2018 where I worked from Yorkshire Artspace, with the wonderful Peak District on the doorstep. Now I am very lucky to be living and working in the stunning Lake District! Watch this space for Lakes inspired work very soon.

 

I strive to create well-made, unique and versatile pots when hand building with stoneware, from my planters, ring stands and small vessels, to vases and dishes. 

My pots would be happy in your home as decorative pieces or as usable items of your day to day life - I want my work to be loved an enjoyed, and for you to make it yours.
